The Anthony Giordano Gallery at Dowling College presents An Even Dozen

Exhibition Dates: May 7 – June 6, 2010

Reception: May 7, 2010 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Faculty Presentation at 6:00 pm.

Oakdale, NY

The Anthony Giordano Gallery is pleased to announce An Even Dozen, an exhibition featuring artwork by 12 students who are graduating from Dowling College with a concentration in Visual Arts.

These students enrolled in Major Studio I and II are fulfilling their requirements by producing a portfolio of work and selecting with their faculty their strongest pieces for exhibition in the College's Anthony Giordano Gallery. The group show is eclectic, focusing on the diversity and individuality of each student's personal aesthetic. The artwork ranges from multi-media photography to painting, collage, drawing and sculpture. As graduating students in the Fine Arts this exhibition gives them the opportunity to present their finest work and supports them in the process of progressing from student to professional artist.

Located at the corner of Idle Hour Boulevard and Biltmore Avenue in Oakdale, The Anthony Giordano Gallery at Dowling College is dedicated to exhibiting and promoting contemporary, innovative, and experimental work by established artists, unaffiliated artists, emerging artists, and artists primarily from the New York tri-state metropolitan area. Through exhibitions and education programs the gallery reflects, reinforces, and complements the curricular dimensions of the Visual Arts Department and addresses the cultural life and enrichment of the Dowling College community, the general public, artists, and the Oakdale community at large.

Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information please call 631.244.3016 or visit us online at www.dowling.edu.
