Applicants who do not meet the admissions requirements may be reviewed by the Admissions Academic Standards Committee and may be admitted under the Enhanced Right Start Program.

Undergraduate Admission
  1. Complete an Application for Undergraduate Admission. An application may be submitted online or by mail using one of the links below. A non-refundable application processing fee of $35 is required at the time of application.

  2. Submit a typed biographical statement or personal essay (250-word minimum). You may include information such as volunteer work, leadership skills, awards received, extra-curricular activities, or any other information you consider appropriate, to assist the Admissions Committee in making an informed decision.

  3. Provide at least one professional or academic letter of recommendation.

  4. Send all Advanced Placement (AP) examination scores and official college course transcripts to the Office of Enrollment Services at Dowling College. (Please note: AP grade reports are sent to the student, and if applicable, his/her respective high school.) Applicants may contact the College Board for AP examination grades and request scores to be sent directly to Dowling College. The applicant may also request official college course transcripts to be sent directly to Dowling College by contacting the Registrar's Office of the respective institution(s).

Graduate Admission
  1. Complete an Application for Graduate Admission. An application may be submitted online or by mail using one of the links below. A non-refundable application processing fee of $50 is required at the time of application.

  2. Official transcript(s) from all previously attended college and universities. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted for initial review.

  3. Two letters of evaluation.

  4. Additional documents for selected schools:

    School of Arts and Sciences: The following additional documents are required for matriculation in Dowling College's Arts and Sciences Graduate Program:
    • Copies of certification(s),if applicable.
    • Score report for the Graduate Record Examination(GRE) General Exam (M.S. in Environmental Microbiology applicants only).
    Townsend School of Business: The following document is required for matriculation in Dowling College's Business Graduate Program.
    • Resume.
    School of Education: The following document is required for matriculation in Dowling College's Education Graduate Program.
    • Copies of certification(s), if applicable.
